Rolex Very Rare Ref. 5510 Oyster Perpetual Submariner "James Bond" Big Crown Wristwatch, circa 1958Case: No. 362000, three body, stainless steel, screw down case back and 8 mm "Brevet" marked crown, bi-directional revolving bezel, domed crystal, 38 mm
Dial: gloss black, gilt lettering and minute marks, luminous triangular, round and baton indexes, luminous skeleton hands
Movement: caliber 1530, rhodium finish, 25 jewels, straight line lever, self compensating Breguet balance spring, index regulator, monometallic balance with shock absorber
Band: riveted stainless steel Oyster link bracelet
Signed: all signed Rolex
Note: The 5510 is by far the rarest of the Submariner models. This reference was in production for approximately one year only and made in very small numbers. The watch presented here is an extremely fine example of this iconic timepiece. It was produced in the first quarter of 1958.
