Austrian Crystal, Yellow Metal Evening Bag, Judith Leiber, circa 1970
The evening bag is highlighted by silver Austrian crystals, graduated in size, enhanced by textured yellow metal, completed by a snap closure, having a yellow metal shoulder strap measuring 30 inches. The bag opens to reveal a metallic gold leather lined interior, mirror with handle, and miniature comb. Circa 1970. Signed Judith Leiber.

This evening bag is illustrated (page 40) in the book, Judith Leiber The Artful Handbag. It is the "Earliest metal bag, the chatelaine, in gold / jet and silver / jet versions, all with drop-in chains, 1967."
