Antique Paste, Freshwater Pearl, Enamel, Gold, Kundan EarringsEach ornate dangle earring, designed with a floral motif, features round-cut paste, enhanced by freshwater pearls, accented by champlevé enameling in blue, red, green, white, and green, completed by a screw post with 10k gold clip back on the reverse. Gross weight 61.50 grams.

Notes: Most of the cubic zirconias are abraded. These earrings are a type of Mughal jewelry. In the Illustrated Dictionary of Jewelry, by Harold Newman, the definition of Mughal jewelry is "articles of Indian jewelry made from the beginning of the Mughal Empire in 1526 until its gradual disintegration after Aurangzeb (1658 - 1707) and thereafter for some time during the period of British control..." Clip backs appper newer than earring. Enameling is worn. Evidence of lead solder on reverse.
