Note: Special 5513 Submariners were British Royal Navy military issues with specific adaptations. The strap bars were soldered in place to ensure they could only be fitted with a non-reflective cloth strap. The dial was marked with an encircled "T" to indicate the use of the luminous material tritium. Some versions such as the present example were fitted with a special fully calibrated bezel. The watches were also fitted with the hacking feature to allow for a precise synchronization of time. The rare 5513 offered here was previously sold at a Sotheby's auction December 18th, 2008.
