Condition Notes: Stamped 18k with serial number N.Y 15156, this lipstick case has been attributed to Van Cleef & Arpels. The outer shell tests as 18k and the inner lipstick applicator tests as 14k. Moderate wear is visible throughout the polished 18k gold surface. At the base, remnants of lipstick have leached out over time. An inner grooved section is designed to lock into the base, though friction has diminished with age, resulting in a looser fit.
