Condition Notes: Here we have a sensational pair of desirable silky white South Sea pearls accented by 3.75 mm diamonds. What began as a simple pair of diamond studs has been reimagined into a more prominent design with the addition of two South Sea pearls, each attached by a jump ring to the earring basket. Minor traces of the adhesive used to secure the pearls are visible on close inspection. The backings are marked with an unidentified maker mark, the diamond weight of 0.23 carat, and the 750 gold mark. As shown, the design is completed with posts and friction backs.
