Gene Sarazen (1902-1999) is one of only five golfers (along with Ben Hogan, Jack Nicklaus, Gary Player and Tiger Woods) to win all the major championships in his career. Born Eugenio Saraceni, Gene Sarazen was the inventor of the sand wedge and a player on six U.S. Ryder Cup teams. He was a contemporary and great rival of Bobby Jones.
