Description
Breitling Extremely Rare Cosmonaute Wide Bezel Co-Branded LIP Chronograph Wristwatch ref: 809 circa 1962Case: 40mm (42mm from edges of bezel), stainless steel, three body case, snap back with rotating slide rule bezel, #955757
Dial: black dial with black sub-dials. Aged tritium numbers and markers. Applied AOPA logo, luminous syringe hands
Movement: Venus 178, straight line lever, 17 jewels, monometallic balance with shock absorber
Band: unsigned woven stainless steel bracelet measuring 7 1/2 inches in total length

Band: unsigned woven stainless steel bracelet measuring 7 1/2 inches in total length
Circa: 1962
Condition: The watch is in very good condition. Tiny dings and surface scratches commensurate with age. Beads on beaded bezel well defined. Bezel rotates but is tight. Well preserved dial with a pleasing distribution of age spots and darkly patinated numbers and markers. Small amount of paint loss at edge of dial near "1" o'clock and to the left of "2". Case back has a small dimple and a few surface scratches. The watch sets and will run but will occasionally stop when the chronograph function is operating. Chronograph will start and stop and registers will advance but sweep will return to "1" not "12". A service is recommended. Unsigned woven bracelet is in excellent condition with no kinks or tears.
