Rolex Ref. 6098, also known as the "big bubbleback" and "pre-explorer", has been appreciated by vintage Rolex collectors for its size and appearance. Having been born in the 1950's, which was such an experimental time for Rolex, the reference offered an array interesting dial variation. None more exclusive and desirable as the honeycomb "Stelline" dial. Another interesting production difference between "Stelline" 6098's from standard dial variations is the gilt finished movement, as well as the horizontal and vertical double signature on the inside case back.
