Condition Notes: Featuring a richly saturated oval-shaped tanzanite measuring approximately 12.60 x 10.25 x 6.60 mm. The gem exhibits the vivid violet-blue hue characteristic of tanzanite, with shifting tones that respond subtly to changes in lighting and angle, a phenomenon known as pleochroism.
Tanzanite is a relatively recent discovery in the gemstone world, found only in a narrow deposit at the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro in northern Tanzania. First unearthed in the late 1960s, it quickly rose to prominence for its remarkable color range and exclusivity.
The overall ring is in very good condition, with no damage observed to the stones. The shank is marked G14K alongside an unidentified maker’s mark.
