Condition Notes: At the center of this finely crafted ring is a color-change sapphire measuring 9.73 x 8.64 x 6.15 mm. According to a GIA report, the stone exhibits a distinct color change from blue to violet, a natural phenomenon caused by trace elements, typically chromium and vanadium, that respond differently under varying light sources such as daylight and incandescent light.
The sapphire remains unheated, preserving its saturated body color and natural internal characteristics. While origin analysis was requested, GIA found the geographic origin to be inconclusive.
Flanking the center stone are two high-quality diamonds, each graded D color and VVS1 clarity, and both inscribed with their corresponding GIA report numbers. All stones are securely set and remain in very good condition, with no notable wear.
The ring bears the maker’s mark "Crinzi," possibly referencing designer Ray Crinzi, known for bespoke fine jewelry.
Raymond V. Crinzi : Raymond V. Crinzi is a lifelong jeweler from Buffalo, New York, who learned the craft from his father, an Italian immigrant who opened a jewelry shop in 1945. Ray ran the family business for decades and, even after retiring, opened his own store in Hamburg. Now in his 90s, he still works daily alongside his daughter and grandson, keeping old-world craftsmanship and service alive. Certified Diamonds:
