Description
Patek Philippe Very Fine Gold Pocket Watch with Chronograph, circa 1882Case: 18k rose gold, four body, 51 mm, No. 66797, signed inner cuvette, back with ornate overlay monogram, coin edge to the bezel and outermost back edge, lock out slide for the chronograph push button on the rim
Dial: white enamel, black Roman hour numerals, gold five minute numerals, outer 1/5th seconds marks, subsidiary seconds, gold Louis XIV hands and fly back center sweep, chronograph function is activated from a button on the crown
Movement: nickel bridge with straight line damaskeening, wolf's tooth winding, straight line lever escapement, broad moustache pallet fork, bi-metallic balance with Breguet blue steel spring, 24 jewels, pendant setting
Signed: No. 66797, Patek Philippe & Co. Geneve on the cuvette
Note: a copy of the Archive Extract shows that this timepiece was produced in 1882 and the date of sale was August 29th, 1883
