Condition: The watch is in good condition. Lugs softened with age and or polish and expected tiny dings and scratches from use as a tool watch. Case back has a decent Hippocampus with a few mismanaged case opener scratches by the notches.Original bakelite bezel with some cracking common to early bakelite bezels and missing lume insert. Bezel does ratchet. Perhaps the watches strongest point is its aged dial with an aesthetically pleasing and consistent "crackle" effect lending it an incredible vintage appeal. Additionally, the original hand set has aged in unison with the dial. The watch sets and runs but the service history is unknown and a service is recommended for everyday use.
