Case: No. 4500299, platinum, 40 mm, screw down transparent case back and additional solid back, concave bezel, curved and fluted lugs, rectangular push buttons, diamond set on the rim between the lower lugs, sapphire crystals
Dial: black, applied baton indexes and white gold hands, apertures for the day and month, outer tachymeter scale, subsidiary dials for the constant seconds and 24-hour indication, thirty minute register combined with leap-year indication and date combined with the moon phases
Movement: No. 3931839, caliber 27-70/155, nickel-finished lever movement stamped with the Geneva seal, 24 jewels, adjusted to heat, cold, isochronism and eight positions, Gyromax balance, free sprung regulator, striped damaskeened decoration
Band: black alligator strap and platinum folding clasp
Signed: Patek Philippe Geneve, with slip box, sealed extra case back, hang tag, adjusting tool and wooden presentation box

Note: This signature Patek Philippe complicated timepiece was launched in 2004. The case is considerably larger than its preceding references with a diameter of 40 mm. The platinum version of the 5970 was the final model to be released. available for approximately one year only between 2009 and 2010. The 5970P reportedly has the lowest production with less than 25 examples known. It is considered to be one of the most desirable Patek Philippe models released in recent years.
