French Very Fine Gold, Enamel, Diamond & Ruby Tabatiere, circa 1850Measuring 85 mm x 60 mm x 26 mm, 18k gold, Paris Mercury head export mark and GC makers mark on the band (possibly Guillet & Cie), 172.5 grams, translucent bright red enamel on the bottom, sides and top with engraved and chased gold swirl and leaf frames, top mounted with numerous rose cut and mine cut diamonds in raised gold floral settings, central gold frame around a guilloche green enameled plaque with gold and diamond centerpiece displaying a facetted ruby measuring 6 mm x 5 mm
