The suite includes a necklace composed of cultured pearls measuring 7.04 - 9.30 mm, forming a graduated knotted strand, enhanced by full-cut diamonds weighing a total of approximately 0.95 carat; a bracelet composed of cultured pearls measuring 7.01 - 7.45 mm, enhanced by full-cut diamonds weighing a total of approximately 0.45 carat; together with an accompanying pair of earrings featuring full-cut diamonds weighing a total of approximately 0.70 carat, suspending cultured pearls measuring 7.62 mm; all in 18k white gold with maker's marks for Mikimoto. Gross weight 60.30 grams.

Condition Notes: A truly elegant cultured pearl suite. Diamonds add a nice touch. All pieces are marked 750. The a full-cut diamond in the necklace clasp weighs approximately 0.03 carat. Cultured pearl on bracelet clasp measures 3.93 mm. Necklace and bracelet have an "M" charm attached near the clasp. Necklace comes in a signed pouch and outer box. Bracelet and earrings come in signed boxes.
Mikimoto: The name Mikimoto is synonymous with the highest quality Japanese cultured pearls available. Its founder, Kokichi Mikimoto, was an early pioneer in the concept of pearl farming. While he was not the first to invent the culturing process, Mikimoto did refine it, patenting his technique. He is recognized as the master of the culturing process. The need for culturing pearls arose out of the demise of the natural pearl market in 1930, when over-fishing and pollution devastated pearl beads. Today, cultured pearls are farmed worldwide with Japan, China, Australia and Thailand the leading producers.
