Condition Notes: This sculptural necklace features a stylized big cat or panther motif, crafted in 18K yellow gold. The surface of the panther is finished with a brushed texture that mimics the natural quality of fur, adding depth and realism to the design.
The chain is composed of two woven strands of 18K gold in a tight, flexible pattern that provides both structure and comfort. A hinged mechanism, positioned near one paw and the tail, allows for slight articulation, enabling the necklace to conform naturally to the neck while preserving its bold, sculptural form.
The piece is stamped for 18K gold and bears an illegible maker’s mark just below the fineness stamp. One sapphire shows a trivial nick visible only under magnification.
