Overall Condition: Good
Condition Notes: An iconic symbol of Cartier’s enduring elegance, this Panthère pendant is crafted in sleek silver, its sculptural form capturing the feline’s fluid grace in mid-motion. Suspended from an 18k gold bale, the pendant is accompanied by an 18k gold link necklace, both pieces bearing Cartier hallmarks—"Cartier 291597" on the pendant and "Cartier 271062" on the chain. The panther’s piercing gaze and poised stance evoke Cartier’s legendary mastery of animal-inspired design. While the pendant has sustained slight damage, with the tip of the tail broken and reglued, this does not detract from its striking presence. The 18k gold chain, secured by a lobster clasp, contrasts with the darkened silver of the pendant. This piece is presented in its signature red Cartier box along with a copy of the original Cartier invoice from 1987. It embodies the bold sophistication synonymous with the Panthère de Cartier collection.
Cartier: In 1847 Louis-Francois Cartier founded his business, creating jewelry made of gold, awash with colorful enamels and glittering gemstones. This appealed to the French aristocracy. His son, Alfred joined him, and later grandsons Louis, Pierre, and Jacques, who took over during the Art Deco era. The company's distinctive Oriental-influenced style helped create a jewelry empire with worldwide locations. Joined by designer Jeanne Toussaint in 1933, Cartier created a range of vanity cases, desk sets and accessories. The firm continues to produce exquisite jewelry, watches, and objects d'art for a prestigious clientele under the umbrella of the Richemont Group. Gold
