Condition Notes: A style that screams Schlumberger in all the right ways! The ring is marked Tiffany Schlumberger 18k. Accompanied by a 2002 Retail Replacement Valuation and a signed inner and outer box signed 'Tiffany & Co. designed by Schlumberger'. Featured in the 1979 - 1980 Tiffany and Co. Blue Book on page 45, Retail $12,500. The diamonds wrap around the entirety of the shank for an overall glamorous look. The ring shows evidence of sizing to areas of the shank where some diamonds are set.
Schlumberger for Tiffany & Co.: Parisian artist and jeweler Jean Schlumberger's (1907-1987) career began as a costume jewelry designer for Elsa Schiaparelli. Recognition came when in 1955; he joined Tiffany & Co., becoming the first designer given the privilege of signing his name to his jewelry. Schlumberger's love of nature such as butterflies, birds, sea life and flowers lead to enchanting designs that are highly prized and collectible to this day.
