Condition Notes: This butterfly brooch showcases a jaw dropping collection of Burma rubies, with a GIA-tested example measuring 5.03 x 3.92 mm as a size reference. The carat weight of the rubies and diamonds is stamped on the reverse, which also features a double pinstem and catch for secure wear. Fading on the reverse suggests this piece was converted from 18K white gold to yellow gold via an overlay, with the 18K alloy confirmed by acid and XRF testing.
