Condition Notes: A hallmark of Marsh & Co. creations is blackened stainless steel, treated to achieve a matte, gunmetal finish. This darkened metal served as a dramatic backdrop for luminous pearls and bright white diamonds, creating sharp modernist contrasts. These pieces are often unsigned but remain highly distinctive in style. They are rare, visually striking, and increasingly collectible. This example appears unmarked, consistent with many of the firm’s known works. It is in good condition overall, with minor wear and some fading to the patina on portions of the stainless steel and palladium. The clasp may require adjustment, as the opening mechanism is currently on a hair trigger and can open at inconvenient times.
