Condition Notes: Measuring a commanding 19.46 x 16.54 x 11.91 mm, this orangy yellow sapphire is nothing short of monumental in both presence and rarity. To encounter a sapphire of this size, with such clarity and without heat treatment, is an extraordinary find, nature’s finest work left untouched (minus cutting!). The sapphire sits ever so slightly loose within its current setting, though the prongs appear sufficient to hold it securely pending professional adjustment. Minor nibbles are visible along the girdle from wear with magnification. Sizing beads have been discreetly placed inside the shank, making the fit snugger and the listed size approximate. The inner diameter measures about 17.50 mm, corresponding to a U.S. ring size of approximately 7-1/4-7-1/2. No half-measures here, just a fine yellow sapphire blaring at full volume.
