Condition Notes: Some emeralds and rubies exhibit surface-reaching features, creating minor cavities visible under magnification. The reverse side shows signs of repair, likely to address metal fracturing. The piece is unmarked, different sections of the piece test at varying gold purities (18K/14K), with the peacock/bird itself testing as 14K. Additionally, some areas appear to be overlaid with white gold, adding contrast to the design. The trombone-style catch does not securely hold once closed and may require repair to properly house the pinstem.
