Condition Notes: This enchanting station necklace crafted by Ippolita is crafted with rose gold vermeil, featuring twelve bezel-set cultured pearls measuring 10.40 mm to 11.80 mm and evenly spaced every three inches. The pearls exhibit natural blemishes and scratches to the nacre from wear. The necklace is marked "Ippolita" at the toggle clasp and "Ippolita Rose, 925" inside the loop at the opposite end. Minor evidence of glue is visible at some pearls.
Ippolita: She was born in Florence on December 10, 1963. At an early age she was inspired by the sculptures of Henry Moore. She attended the Istituto d'Arte in 1982. She immigrated to Los Angeles in 1983, and after completing her BA in English Literature at Occidental College, moved to New York. She began designing jewelry in 1993 and launched her first 18k gold jewelry collection at Bergdorf Goodman in 2000. In 2008 she launched her silver line, and rosé, a proprietary gold and silver alloy makes its debut. Pearl: 1
