Condition Notes: A bold expression of Cartier’s signature feline elegance, this Panthère de Cartier wristwatch dazzles with a whimsical yet commanding presence. The square case, bracelet, and dial are richly adorned with pavé-set diamonds, accentuated throughout by glossy black enamel motifs evoking the house's iconic panther pattern. Executed in yellow gold, the integrated bracelet flows seamlessly with alternating rows of black enamel and diamond-set links. The 4-jewel quartz movement, marked "Cartier," is currently running. Minor surface wear is visible, including light scratches and small nicks to the metal and enamel—typical of a well-loved piece and not detracting from its allure. The crown is fitted with Cartier’s inverted diamond detail, completing the look with subtle refinement. A collectible statement from one of the most storied maisons in jewelry and horology.
Cartier: In 1847 Louis-Francois Cartier founded his business, creating jewelry made of gold, awash with colorful enamels and glittering gemstones. This appealed to the French aristocracy. His son, Alfred joined him, and later grandsons Louis, Pierre, and Jacques, who took over during the Art Deco era. The company's distinctive Oriental-influenced style helped create a jewelry empire with worldwide locations. Joined by designer Jeanne Toussaint in 1933, Cartier created a range of vanity cases, desk sets and accessories. The firm continues to produce exquisite jewelry, watches, and objects d'art for a prestigious clientele under the umbrella of the Richemont Group.
