Fred: Fred Samuel founded the Parisian firm, Fred, in 1936. Pearls and large colored gemstone sales were the foundation of the business. Fred catered to A-list celebrities such as Marlene Dietrich and Douglas Fairbanks. With sons Henri and Jean joining the family business, great expansion on an international scale occurred.
