Retro Diamond, Ruby, Gold Purse, Piccini
The 14k yellow gold hinged miniaudière is highlighted by an embellishment featuring baguette, full, and single-cut diamonds weighing a total of approximately 1.25 carats, enhanced by round-cut rubies weighing a total of approximately 1.50 carats. It opens to reveal a mirror, and various makeup compartments, together with a matching lipstick holder. A 14k yellow gold shoulder chain measuring 15 inches supports the minaudière. Signed Piccini, Firenze. Accompanied by original, fitted velvet sleeve. Gross weight 1,297.27 grams.

Provenance: This one-of-a-kind purse was custom made in 1952 by Fratelli Piccini of Florence, Italy, as a gift for Sharon Simons from her husband, Pollard Simons, Dallas, TX.
