Condition Notes: Wearable on their own or great for stacking, this set of three nearly identical bangle bracelets by Ippolita features various shapes and shades of pink to red to purplish tourmalines set in gleaming 18k yellow gold. One of the three features round and rectangular-shaped rubies mixed with the tourmalines. The profile outline of each bracelet is slightly out of round, yet the metal is in impeccable condition, with stones displaying minimal nicks and abrasions under magnification.
Ippolita: She was born in Florence on December 10, 1963. At an early age she was inspired by the sculptures of Henry Moore. She attended the Istituto d'Arte in 1982. She immigrated to Los Angeles in 1983, and after completing her BA in English Literature at Occidental College, moved to New York. She began designing jewelry in 1993 and launched her first 18k gold jewelry collection at Bergdorf Goodman in 2000.
