Condition Notes: This antique watch chain is crafted primarily in 9k gold, as confirmed by both hallmarks and testing, including the toggle and pendant crest. The design features alternating elongated and faceted links, characteristic of late Victorian to early Edwardian watch chains. Suspended from the chain are a gold T-bar for securing the piece through a vest buttonhole, a decorative pendant crest with a crowned shield motif, and a watch key composed of a contrasting white metal. The chain terminates with a spring-loaded swivel clasp for attaching a pocket watch. The pendant crest bears English hallmarks from Birmingham, including a 9k (.375) gold mark.
