This fresh to market "Home Plate" Monte Carlo is consigned by the original owner, an occurrence which becomes markedly less and less which each passing year for vintage Tudor and Rolex Sport models. Purchased in Switzerland and accompanied by its original Tudor cert dated 7/1971. Through its history, the watch was serviced by Sutters Watch Repair in Chicago - an authorized Rolex/Tudor service center at the time. Remarkably, the owner kept the original bezel and hand set which were removed early on.

Circa: 1971
Condition: Super robust case with chamfers rounded from prior polishing and use. No scratches or dings of note. Tiny surface scratches commensurate with age. Case shows very nicely. Exceptionally nice dial and its all about the dial on this model. Original dial maintaining a rich saturation of distinct colors. Creamy lume with with a tiny crack on top of the lume marker at 50. Very tiny chip off the corner of the lume marker at 20. Excellent hand set. And if you don't care for this hand set (which is correct and vintage and installed during an earlier service) included is the original hand set which was removed and kept! The lume on the hour and minute hand appearing to be a perfect match to the marker lume. That hand set is complete with a sweep, two subs, minute and hour. The bezel insert on the watch is in excellent condition with just a bit of "pull" (grey smudging) at 65. However, included is the bezel and insert removed during service which shows some loss on the edge by 70 and between 75 and 80.
