This important watch is a true "time capsule" example of the early reference 1675. It is presented with the original guarantee and sales receipt, both are dated Dec. 7/61 and signed by the selling agent John Bull. Additionally, the lot includes the chronometer rating certificate, dated 31 Jan, 1961, a 1960 GMT-Master brochure, original hang tag, a rare 11 x 8 inch four page "Watch of the Year, Time New Magazine" Rolex promotional mailer, box card, outer box with original inventory sticker and inner box that has a diagonally sloped two section black and green top lid.

Circa: 1960
Condition: This highly important timepiece has been sourced from the family of the original owner and is being offered at auction for the first time. The case is amazingly well preserved with no evidence of polishing on the lugs. The crown guard is sharply pointed. The case back is clean, unpolished and showing no repair "scratch codes" on the interior. The bezel exhibits scratches as evident in the photo. The bezel edge "teeth" are extremely sharp. The bezel insert is toned to a medium/light blue and a rich copper tone. Some scratches and wear to the crystal. The dial is original and untouched having achieved a lustrous golden/bronze patina. The band is structurally sound as new with some typical light surface scratches. The accompanying papers and boxes are very well preserved.
