Condition Notes: This exceptional necklace, crafted in 18k gold, embodies Salvador Dalí’s unmistakable surrealist vision. Inspired by the classic iconography of Saint Narcissus, the piece is intricately rendered using the lost-wax casting technique, featuring fly motifs along the chain in reference to "Saint Narcissus of the Flies." Designed for versatility, the chain can be worn at its full 23-inch length or shortened to 15 inches by detaching the bracelet segment. Marked A-85/100, this limited-edition work bears the serial number 03-034-01-026 and features Dalí’s engraved signature. Marked 18k to one clasp section.
Dali: While recognized mainly as a pre-eminent artist, Salvador Dali’s jewelry, like his paintings, is reflected the Surrealist movement. A fascination with dreams and mythology helped shape his most common theme, metamorphosis.
