Condition Notes: John Rubel was a Hungarian-born jewelry designer known for his work with Van Cleef & Arpels in the 1930s and 1940s, crafting iconic pieces like the Mystery Set jewels and ballerina. These earrings are primarily constructed from palladium, with clip backings crafted from 18K white gold. The center round brilliant diamonds measure 5.50 x 5.50 x 3.15 mm to 5.55 x 5.65 x 3.00 mm, exhibiting good clarity, with culets left natural and unpolished. Both diamonds show minor abrasions and nicks along their girdle regions. One earring is marked John Rubel Co. on the clip backing, while the other remains unmarked.
