Movado Massive & Rare 18k Gold Astronic HS 360 Chronograph "El Primero" 3019 PHF, circa 1970Case: 18k yellow gold, three body, screw back with Zenith logo, 45 mm x 39 mm, polished and brushed, round buttons
Dial: golden, gold and black markers and batons, red sweep, day, month and date apertures, thirty minute, twelve hour and constant seconds subsidiary dials, moon phase, inclined tachometer ring
Movement: 3019 PHF, automatic, 17 jewels, bi-directional rotor on ball bearings, monometallic balance, straight line lever, shock absorber
Band: massive 18k gold link, 7 5/8th inches, deployant clasp
Signed: all elements signed Movado, gross weight is 215.8 grams
Note: The caliber 3019 PHF is considered the rarest of the "El Primero" chronograph movements. The development of this sophisticated automatic chronograph with full calendar and moon phase functions was a joint venture by Movado and Zenith in 1970. It is estimated that production was limited to approximately 100 pieces. Examples in gold cases are exceptionally rare.
