Condition Notes: The center tourmaline measures approximately 14.35 x 11.25 x 7.75 mm, complemented by dual peridot measuring approximately 7.00 x 5.00 mm. While the shank is unmarked, it has been verified as 18k gold through standard metal testing and XRF analysis. While no formal marks are present for Craig Drake the example has been confirmed to be attributed to Craig Drake as a known design.
Craig Drake: Craig Drake, son of a German watchmaker, graduated from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He crafted and sold jewelry for retailers like Tiffany & Co. before establishing his own company based in Philadelphia, PA. He created custom pieces for some of the highest profile residents in the city. His appointments were highly coveted, and one had to get a client referral in order to meet with him. He accumulated over 50 years in the jewelry industry before passing in March 2015. His son, Craiger Drake, enthusiastically continues his father’s legacy and owns his own jewelry company, Craiger Drake Designs. He graduated from Roanoke College in 1988, and went on to study jewelry manufacturing in Hong Kong. Having 25 years of experience in the industry, Craiger has access to the rarest stones, and he has a talent for creating customized jewelry based on his client’s preferences.
