Chanel

Buying a Chanel bag is a wonderful and often very satisfying endeavor. With so many different styles to choose from, the possibilities with Chanel are endless. The first thing you’ll want to consider is size. Chanel has mastered the art of handbags in every size. What is this bag for? Is it something you’ll want to use during the day? At work? Maybe you’re looking for a new small cross body bag to use on the weekends, or on vacation. Or perhaps a beautiful evening bag. Chanel bags, whether classic styles, limited editions, or seasonal styles, often come in a large range of sizes. Be sure to check a bag’s measurements before bidding or buying so that you’re aware of what you’re getting. Since many Chanel bags are produced in multiple sizes, mere photos of the bags can be deceiving.

The next thing you’ll want to consider is material. Chanel has a few classic leathers to choose from. Arguably the most popular leather is Caviar, a sturdy grained leather that will last forever. The counterpart is their smooth lambskin, which is supple and luxurious, but can scuff easily if you’re not careful. Chanel’s distressed lambskin is also a popular choice, especially for the Reissue style Flap Bags.

Color is an area where Chanel really shines. Using complex dyeing processes, the house can create shades and hues so stunning no other brand is able to match their splendor. But of course, classic colors like black and beige are Chanel’s bread and butter. When deciding if a color is right for you, think about how the bag will work with various other pieces in your wardrobe. Is this a color that will work well with multiple outfits? The right bag can be the keystone that pulls together many outfits, so buying one in the right color is an extremely important decision. The final item to consider is the hardware, it is advisable to buy a bag with hardware that matches the jewelry you wear most.

When buying a bag on the secondary market, be sure to check for condition. Buying a bag that is in less than perfect condition can save you a bundle off the retail price, but be sure you’re aware of what you’re getting. The most common thing to check are the corners and the handles. Heritage’s high definition photos allow you to see every detail of the bag very clearly so be sure to check those out carefully. Also, make sure you’re aware of what accessories you’re getting with the bag. Buying an item that is missing something like the keys or shoulder strap can lower the price further, but make sure you are aware of what you’re getting.
