Diamonds to Sparkle in Heritage Auctions’ Holiday Fine Jewelry Auction

Most lots in sale trace to large estates on both coasts

DALLAS, Texas (December 2, 2019) — An extraordinary pendant necklace featuring a diamond weighing nearly 10 carats is expected to be among the top attractions in Heritage Auctions’ Holiday Fine Jewelry Auction Dec. 8 in New York.

The bulk of the sale comes from four large estates, one from Massachusetts and three from California, and features an assortment of contemporary designer jewelry that literally can be characterized as being "from A to Z” – in this case, from Adler to Zolotas.

"There is a notable emphasis on diamonds in a wide range of colors, shapes and sizes, from 1.00 carat to 9.62 carats.”

The auction includes treasures sure to appeal to connoisseurs of all levels.

A Diamond, White Gold Pendant-Necklace (estimate: $100,000-130,000) is simultaneously simple and stunning, showcasing an impressive pear-shaped diamond weighing 9.62 carats, suspended by a fine 18k white gold chain.

A Diamond, Gold Bracelet, Cartier, French (estimate: $8,000-12,000) is an Egyptian Revival-themed cuff depicting Horus, god of sky, war and kinship, featuring full-cut diamonds weighing a total of 3.50 carats, set in 18k gold marked Cartier 622040, with French hallmarks.

From a private collection in New Jersey comes an Antique Spinel, Diamond, White Gold Necklace (estimate: $6,000-8,000). The necklace centers a mine-cut diamond weighing 3.10 carats embellished by oval and cushion-shaped spinel with a combined weight of approximately 45.00 carats and complemented by single-cut diamonds with a combined approximate weight of 7.00 carats, set in white gold.

Jadeite Jade, Sapphire, Gold Objet de Vertu, Marchak, French (estimate: $4,000-6,000) features a carved jadite jade bull gazing through round sapphire cabochon eyes. It includes 18k gold accented horns and hooves, marked Marchak, with French hallmarks.

An elegant Art Deco Diamond, Black Enamel, Platinum, Gold Compact, Cartier, French (estimate: $2,000-3,000) features baguette and rose-cut diamonds set in platinum accents, enhanced by black enamel applied on 18k gold, marked Cartier with French hallmarks.
