The Personal Collection of Jewelry Artisan Peter Lindeman
January 8, 1930 - August 7, 2024

Peter Lindeman

Peter Lindeman set out to make a name for himself. Between crafting truly innovative designs and developing new methods for reaching customers, skill and hard work led to acclaim for his jewelry.

His workshop supplied pieces to retailers such as Tiffany & Co., Shrieve, Crump & Lowe, and Bailey Banks & Biddle.

Born in Berlin in 1930, Lindeman grew up in Montevideo, Uruguay. In 1947, he headed to New York, where he worked for several high-end jewelers.

In 1955, he started designing his own jewelry and created his signature hallmark - a teardrop with an "L" placed on the back of every piece.

His designs were in the collections of Elvis Presley, tennis champion Chris Evert, and the permanent collection of the Boston Museum of Fine Arts.

Heritage is proud to present this sale of his private collection.
