Michele Delville: Originally from France, Michele Delville moved to the United States in 1979 to study classical jewelry and pursue her career as a designer. While studying ancient techniques of lapidary and metalwork in New York, Michele found inspiration in the ancient civilizations of the Egyptians, Romans, and Greeks. Her handmade designs emphasize the natural, imperfect beauty of the stones while providing a modern edginess and refinement, resulting in what she refers to as “wearable art.” In 2001, Michelle received an award from the Women’s Jewelry Association, and her work has been showcased in galleries and museums across the nation.
