a total of approximately 1.30 carats
Metal: 14k gold
Gross Weight: 137.90 grams
Dimensions: 2-13/16 inches x 3-3/8 inches
From the Estate of Margaret Grace Carlton
Condition Report*:
Diamonds:
Avg Color: G-H-I
Avg Clarity: VS
Shape(s): Full and Single-Cut
Count: 26 - 50
Metals:
Gold
Overall Condition: Good
Condition Notes: The dusting of 1.50 to 2.50 mm full and single cut diamonds covers nearly the entirety of the top of this compact, with each stone set over open seats/ajours beneath, allowing for an unimpeded display of light and creating an engaging interior texture and visual effect. Two smaller diamonds show minor, non eye visible pavilion chips.
The piece exhibits a matte, almost sand blasted finish to the 14k gold, imparting subtle visual interest as it interacts with light. Minor wear, including light scuffs to this finish, is present and consistent with age and use. The interior floor of the compact is highly mirror reflective and contains no additional internal dividers. For those who prefer millimeter measurements, the compact measures approximately 74.00 x 88.00 x 17.00 mm when assessed with electronic calipers.
