Note: In 1929, the French jeweler Mauboussin reached an agreement with the American jewelry firm Trabert & Hoeffer to form a business. By the early 1930's, Trabert & Hoeffer-Mauboussin had opened many stores, not only in New York but four other American cities, as well as in Paris. It was during this time that they began production of a unique line of jewelry called 'Reflection-Your Personality in a Jewel'. Because of the way the pieces were manufactured, a client could design a piece in whatever way she liked to fit her personality.
