Condition Notes: The Cartier Juste un Clou diamond bracelet is a modern reinterpretation of an everyday object, a nail, transformed into a bold statement of luxury. Designed in the 1970s by Aldo Cipullo, the bracelet wraps around the wrist in a fluid, circular form, echoing the shape of a bent nail.
It was first introduced in New York, not Paris, marking a bold, rebellious shift for Cartier at the time. This example is in very good condition and comes with a Cartier jewelry pouch for safekeeping. The piece is marked Cartier 19 DBN606 18k.
Cartier: In 1847 Louis-Francois Cartier founded his business, creating jewelry made of gold, awash with colorful enamels and glittering gemstones. This appealed to the French aristocracy. His son, Alfred joined him, and later grandsons Louis, Pierre, and Jacques, who took over during the Art Deco era. The company's distinctive Oriental-influenced style helped create a jewelry empire with worldwide locations. Joined by designer Jeanne Toussaint in 1933, Cartier created a range of vanity cases, desk sets and accessories. The firm continues to produce exquisite jewelry, watches, and objects d'art for a prestigious clientele under the umbrella of the Richemont Group. Avg Color: G-H-I
