Scott Kay: Launching his design house in 1984, Scott Kay made a name for himself by embracing previously little-used metals such as platinum and palladium and by designing a very successful bridal collection. He stressed expression, quality and never compromising in his brand. Scott Kay died in December of 2014, but his brand lives on with the Kay family at the helm. He is credited with helping to resurrect the use of platinum in jewelry in the United States.
