Condition Notes: A fun rainbow of colors! The ruby stones show evidence of glass filling. Marked 18k Ippolita. Completed by a box clasp closure and figure-8 safety lock. The multi-color stones measure 7.05 x 7.05 x 4.43 mm. The peridot shows slight abrasion on facet junctions and culet.
Ippolita: She was born in Florence on December 10, 1963. At an early age she was inspired by the sculptures of Henry Moore. She attended the Istituto d'Arte in 1982. She immigrated to Los Angeles in 1983, and after completing her BA in English Literature at Occidental College, moved to New York. She began designing jewelry in 1993 and launched her first 18k gold jewelry collection at Bergdorf Goodman in 2000. In 2008 she launched her silver line, and rosé, a proprietary gold and silver alloy makes its debut.
