Condition Notes: A beautiful example of Victorian mourning jewelry, this bracelet features an intricate lattice of enamel work in three colors. Under magnification, the enamel remains in near excellent condition with no major losses noted. The clasp design is distinctive, beginning with a hook-and-catch closure that, once released, allows the hinged dark blue segment to lift and reveal a concealed push-button release beneath. When unclasped, the bracelet opens to lay flat with four integrated hinges. The interior underside contains a traditional Victorian compartment intended to hold mementos of loved ones, reinforcing its identity as a quintessential piece of mourning jewelry. Scattered wear and discoloration/oxidation is observable but hardly significant when considering the pieces likely age.
