    Art Nouveau Diamond, Demantoid Garnet, Plique-à-Jour Enamel, Platinum-Topped Gold Brooch, August Wilhelm Holström, Fabergé Workmaster
    The brooch features a European-cut diamond measuring 6.30 x 6.20 x 3.80 mm and weighing approximately 0.95 carat, enhanced by oval-shaped demantoid garnets weighing a total of approximately 1.65 carats, accented by plique-à-jour enamel in shades of green and lavender, further accented by native-cut diamonds, set in platinum-topped 14k gold, completed by a pinstem and "C" catch on the reverse. Marked AH for August Wilhelm Holström, Fabergé workmaster, Russian Hallmarks. Gross weight 12.70 grams.

    August Wilhelm Holström (1829 - 1903)
    Born in Helsinki, Finland and apprenticed in St. Petersburg, Russia as both a silver and goldsmith. He was a senior member and head jeweler of Fabergé's workshop.
