Condition Notes: Centered with two intact enamel shields bearing traditional heraldic motifs, this brooch is flanked by a lion rampant to the left and a classical male figure, likely Hercules, holding a club to the right. A cultured pearl drop is suspended at the base and articulated for movement. One seed pearl in the coronet shows a drill hole on the reverse, not visible when worn.
Executed in 18k rose gold with enamel, rubies, emeralds, and cultured pearls, the piece evokes French refinement but is more likely of Belgian or Central European origin, possibly Austro Hungarian. No hallmarks observed upon inspection.
