Dankner: Henry Dankner founded the company in Budapest, and in 1944 the Nazis seized everything of value. In the 1950s the family moved the company to New York. The brand is known for manufacturing mechanical gold charms with stones and moveable parts including tiny, twirling dancers, beating hearts, spinning streetcars, and galloping horses, to name a few.
