Condition Notes: A delightful trio of bee brooches from Herbert Rosenthal; each bee is marked 18k and for Herbert Rosenthal on the underside of the wings. One features a body fully adorned with full-cut diamonds, another features cultured pearls with a central full-cut diamond, and the third displays alternating rows of round-shaped emeralds and full-cut diamonds.
Herbert Rosenthal: Herbert Rosenthal was a New York-based designer best known for his bee brooches, which are now valuable collectors’ items. At one time, he was the exclusive bee brooch designer for Tiffany & Co., and he became well known for his superior craftsmanship for this particular niche in the industry.
