Estimate: $2,000 - up.
Condition Report*:
Diamonds:
Avg Color: G-H-I
Avg Clarity: VS
Shape(s): Baguette, Square, and Full-Cut
Colored Gems:
Type(s): Ruby
Shape(s): Cabochons
Avg Quality: Good
Metals:
Platinum
Overall Condition: Good
Condition Notes: Here we have a platinum brooch formed as a symmetrical, outward-sweeping composition, centering a curved diamond-set spine that divides and balances the two cascading ruby sections.
The rubies display rich red body color with natural internal characteristics, including surface reaching inclusions and occasional minor chips visible only under close inspection. Diamonds remain intact and well seated. Solder patterns to the reverse and the manner in which the pinstem has been installed indicate the piece may have been converted from a prior form to its current brooch configuration. Overall condition is stable, with wear consistent with age and use.
